Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine

Our Club member John Flynn and CEO of Freight Speed Group is parking up one of his Freight Speed trucks in Páirc Bharróg this Saturday the 9th of April from 9am to 1pm in an effort to collect & receive non-perishable goods for the people of Ukraine. Back in March, John Flynn and his Freight Speed Group sent a truck over to Poland with humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine following the shocking invasion of Ukraine by Russia where millions of Ukrainian people & children fled their beloved country.

John Flynn who has been in constant touch with the Ukrainian Embassy and the Ukrainian Crisis Centre, has been receiving advise from them with what the people of Ukraine need most now.

John has again decided to send another truck over to Poland which his Freight Speed Company covering the costs, in order to bring more humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine.

John Flynn is now asking for fellow Club members & friends of Naomh Barróg CLG to help support him in his humanitarian project but more importantly, help support the people of Ukraine by donating and bringing non-perishable goods down to the Club this Saturday morning. The Club Executive Committee are supporting and encouraging John & his company Freight Speed with this humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine by facilitating his truck being parked up in Páirc Bharróg this Saturday the 9th of April from 9am to 1pm.

We are also asking that all our members ask their family members and friends to support this important humanitarian project.

We also appeal to all the mentors, parents & players attached to each team in the Club to play their part by supporting this worthy cause.

It is important to know that the people of Ukraine on the advice of the Ukrainian Embassy want non-perishable Food/Goods of any type. We encourage you therefore, to adhere to this request.

The gates of Páirc Bharróg will be open from 8.30pm this Saturday morning to accept any contribution so please support this important cause for the people of Ukraine!

We will keep you all updated with the progress of the Freight Speed truck via our Club website & social media pages and when it arrives to Poland with it’s well needed humanitarian aid.
